Moving from Perl to Python, Python’s intaractive prompt caught myattention right away. Demonstratin
g Python to my co-workers, I wowedthem by creating Tk applications line by line. It was a demonstartionof prompt over GUI. Call it lexokinesis. Surely, creating aninterface with a visual toolkit would be as easy or easier. You coulddraw one picture instead of writing a thousand words. Maybe it was ourshared respect for the command line that made this ability seem usefulin some way.
